AB 1781 Presentation/discussion/possible action regarding a funding request from the Sedona Culture Collaborative (SCC). The SCC is requesting that Council consider the release of $12,500 included in the 2013/2014 budget as matching funds for a grant application that the SCC applied for from the National Endowment of the Arts. The SCC was unsuccessful in obtaining the grant but proposes to utilize these funds for an upcoming event, Sedona Arts Week: 10 Arts Fusion Events with Three Festivals (Illuminate Film Festival, Sedona PhotoFest and Sedona BlueGrass Festival) May 29 - June 8, 2014.
AB 1784 Discussion/possible action on a Resolution approving the sale and execution of Excise Tax Revenue Refunding Obligations to refinance the City's existing 2004 Excise Tax Revenue Refunding Obligations, and execution of associated documents subject to terms and conditions set forth within the Resolution. Approval of the Resolution also delegates to the City Manager and the Deputy City Manager the authority to designate the final debt terms and the authority to take certain actions necessary to execute the transaction.
